Dental Implants
Dental Implants are the next best thing to having your own natural teeth and can offer patients a permanent alternative to dentures, crowns or bridges. Missing teeth can cause numerous problems, such as impaired eating and bone loss. The aesthetics can lower self confidence and may even prevent you from smiling and laughing. Having Dental Implants will restore your teeth to their original full functioning state and give you back your smile.
An implant is a small titanium screw that is used to create an artificial new root. This is surgically placed into the jaw bone by one of highly skilled maxilla-facial oral surgeons. A healing period of approximately 2 - 3 months, allows the implant to fully integrate to the bone creating a strong foundation for the aesthetic work such as a denture, crown or bridge to be placed on top.
There are many factors that need to be considered when making a decision on having implants, such as the general health of the mouth and the bone level - not everyone is a suitable candidate for dental implants. During your consultation, our highly skilled and experienced Maxillofacial Implant Surgeons, Mr Sat Parmar and Mr Tim Martin, will be able to give you advice and guidance on the treatment and tell you if this will be the successful treatment option for you.
