Lucy was very unhappy with her smile.

She had been diagnosed with the Cancer (Naso Pharageal Carcinoma). As a result of her Radiotherapy treatment, her teeth became ‘thin’ and discoloured. She felt she had lost her smile and was left feeling really embarrassed.

After the Radiotherapy treatment, she decided she wanted try and ‘get her smile back’. She made an appointment for a Cosmetic Consultation at a practice she found on the internet and paid a deposit to start the treatment. Once her treatment had started however, she was not happy with how things were looking and realised she didn’t want them to continue her treatment. She felt as if they “hadn’t listened to what she wanted”.

Feeling very disillusioned, she decided to leave it for a while.

Lucy eventually, went back to the internet to keep searching and found the Brackenwood website.  She still didn’t contact the practice, as she still didn’t feel comfortable arranging another consultation from a practice she found on the internet – she felt less confident and less trusting.

Luckily, not long after this, she was recommended to Brackenwood. She felt extremely pleased as she was still considering contacting us directly – she had a “good feeling” about Brackenwood.

Lucy says, “from the moment I arrived, I automatically felt at ease and didn’t feel nervous at all. Gee was absolutely brilliant, sympathetic and understanding. I felt that he gave me a huge chunk of his time - he didn’t rush the consultation and never gave me any impression that he was stuck for time. In fact, I myself felt conscious that I had taken up so much of his time!

Once my treatment had started – during the whole process he was really gentle and he is definitely a perfectionist.

I can’t believe that Gee was able to re-create ‘my smile’ before the Radiotherapy changed everything.  I never had to show him any pictures of how my smile looked before – he had just listened and spent time.

My overall experience was wonderful, it doesn’t even feel like I had a procedure done. The after care is amazing too”.

A friend recently told Lucy that she was thinking of having some cosmetic dental treatment at a practice which was a little cheaper, Lucy commented “You get what you pay for and I would never consider going anywhere else apart from Brackenwood”.
